Think Cold War adventure, jungle peril, and men with stiff upper lips charging headlong into danger without Google Maps. Kyle, a master of the “airport paperback” era, gives you dodgy politics, a dash of espionage, and plenty of action in a setting where survival is optional.

This copy has survived four decades, several second-hand shops, and possibly a mug of tea spilled on page 73. The cover is pure 1980s pulp glory, the paper smells faintly of nostalgia (or mildew, depending on your nose), and it’s ready for another spin.
